DD is getting a little track record for being terrible to people who consent to watch her. DH and I went to dinner and to see The Hobbit tonight, and she apparently screamed most of the time we were away. SIL was watching her and thought she had gas, though DH and I suspect she probably just worked herself into a state and that was responsible for her explosive bowels.
The thing is, she almost never has fits like this, and now she's done it twice for sitters (we've only gone out without her three times). I work from home so she's rarely apart from me, and when she is, she's with DH. Any other WAHMs or SAHMs experience anything like this? Does it get better? I know she's a baby and crying is normal, I just feel TERRIBLE.

DD has been fine with anyone holding her or paying attention to her up until recently. (Keep in mind we're a military family so our relatives are NOT nearby so she doesn't see them frequently.) DD was ok with my in laws over Thanksgiving weekend when she was 4 months old. But my parents arrived this week and she cried when they just stood next to her & talked to her. It took 24 hrs before she would smile at them from a distance and another 12 hrs before she'd smile while being held by them.
And it's not just people. DD used to love it when my horse would sniff at her and tickle her feet with his lips. Yesterday, she was scared when his head was 3 feet from her.
I think it has to do with whatever 4 month developmental steps they make. We're still sleeping like cr*p over here.

First of all, ((hugs)) and you are not alone.
DD is such a happy, easy going baby and yet around mil the last couple of times she has cried, was super cranky and only wanted to be in my arms. It sucks because I find myself saying how sweet and happy she is and yet mil always sees her being a cranky, crying mess lately and I have to hear from DH's family, "Are you sure she doesn't have colic?" Grrr
Thankfully, yesterday when my in laws were over, DD was her normal happy self and was talking/squealing most of the time. My mil was surprised and I was like, but this is actually how she is most of the time.
