holy poop!

LO has pooped 7 times just today. Since Wednesday he has been having diarrhea (Yellow watery diarrhea), but he also got a tooth and another one is on its way. Is this normal or should I be worried? He is acting completely normal, eating maybe just a little less then he normally does, but drinking plenty of fluids.

My 22 month old had diarrhea from Sunday until Thursday. My husbands best friend is his pediatrician so we just ran it by him and he said that as long as he's acting normal, eating and drinking fluids and doesn't have a fever it will run its course. He said it could take 7 days to go away. He recommended to just feed him a bland diet. It was my first experience with my son having a bug so I was worried too. I have heard people say that their kids get loose stools when they are teething but our pediatrician says that is not true so who knows? I hope he feels better soon.

When DD got her canine teeth on the top she had horrible diarrhea that caused a really bad rash.  As long as he seems fine don't worry, there's not a lot the dr. can do unless he becomes dehydrated.  Keep an eye out for a rash and maybe use diaper cream to try and prevent.  I will add that we never had this issue with other teeth and she's getting her bottom canines now with no problems at all.

Yep, that happened to us 2-3 days ago.  It took me a day to catch on.  Her 4th molar errupted today.

Normally my kid poops 23 times a day. When he's teething he poops about 10 times a day. Because of the excess saliva and drool from the teething, they poops are usually more runny than normal too.
