are you only considering charter schools? Because there are a few public schools that are actually pretty good- you just have to live in the catchment. The Meredith school in Queen Village gets great reports and we have a friends who have sent their kids there and really liked it- we are considering that but leaning more towards moving to the Rittenhouse area so LO could go to the Greenfield school if we stay in the city- it is also rated very well and it might be silly, but the reason we are leaning towards Greenfield is that Meredith school looks like a bit like a prison from the outside and thats just not what I envisioned for our LO. Let me know if you have questions or if you find out about any good charter schools. Hubby and I are still trying to decide whether we can stay in the city or not. Thanks!
TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck
Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man. Born 12/2/11
TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended
Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good. Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.
Meredith, penn Alexander, and greenfield are probably the three best public elementary schools in Philadelphia. McCall is also a good school. Independence charter school is good in that it offers kids an interesting curriculum. I teach at a high school and the kids we get from ICS are great. Christopher Columbus charter is another school we have gotten some great kids from.
