Meal time freak outs - 8 month old

Hi all -

My daughter is just a little over 8 months old.  Ever since introducing solids at about 5 months, she has been a GREAT eater....except for recently.  Everytime we get her READY for meal time - put a bib on, set her down in her high chair - she throws a bit of a temper tantrum!  It is so odd.  And foods she used to LOVE - adocado, pears, squash - she is now gaging over and refusing to eat.  She's had a bit of a stuffed nose lately and I am wondering if that is having an effect on her eating?  I am also thinking she is teething as she is constantly putting her hands in her mouth, drooling and is a little fussier than ususal (she has her bottom two teeth and I think the tops are coming in).  Anyway, it is just strange behavior all of a sudden.  For the most part, she nurses fine but the solid foods and meal times aren't going so well.  Any advice or similar experiences?

Our LO does the same thing! I read somewhere its because she is mobile and has better things to do, I don't know though cause she's only been doing it recently but she's been crawling since 6 months. I find finger foods help to occupy and entertain her and I can slip spoonfuls inbetween

My LO has been the same lately! He is 8 months old.  He swats my hand which I try to feed him.
