Motn pacifier game?

Am I the only one inserting a pacifier all night? Max goes down by 8, and then wakes up anywhere from 13, but doesn't want to eat, just wants his pacifier put in repeatedly. By 4, he wants to eat, but just like 23 oz, so I don't think he's all that hungry. Most of the time he then sleeps until 7, but sometimes is up for the pacifier deal before then. He's huge, 16lbs, and eats a ton during the day, so I really feel that he's capable of sttn or I'd even be happy with feeding him at 4, but the pacifier game is driving me crazy. He doesn't fall asleep with it at bedtime, but when he wakes early, it's the only way he'll go back down. My twins were smaller, eating less, but yet sttn the night at this point, so I know that he could do it. Plus, I really want to move him to his crib, but his room is down the hall and I don't want to be going down there 10 times a night to put his pacifier in. Any tips?? My girls were such good sleepers, so this is all new to me!

Re: Motn pacifier game?

  • We don't usually do motn wakings, but My LO loves the paci game. She doesn't have it to go to sleep but wants it in the mornings after her first feed. She doesn't fall back asleep without it usually. And she does this cute little grunt noise searching for it when it falls out. It's less cute when I'm exhausted tho. lol

  • This is us exactly!  I am thinking of trying to go cold turkey on the paci but if she is too young to self soothe I am not sure if that would work.  If we don't put the paci in when she starts grunting she breaks into a full cry.  But she does it All.Night.Long so I know she is not hungry.
