Need to soften skin/ lessen scar. What to use?

I had basal cell skin cancer near the corner of my eye. The dermatologist got clean margins and the plastic surgeon did a skin graft using skin from behind my ear. It's healing well, but I need to soften the skin. I don't have a scar per se, but the newly graphed skin has a some bumps. What should I use? Bio oil? The dr didn't recommend anything in particular. Thanks for your help!

Where can I get it? Anywhere? Is it greasy and how often do you apply it? Thanks!

My mom swears by Bio Oil. She had a huge basal cell removed from her cheek last year and it's greatly improved.

My grandma has had something similiar done a few times. I don't know if it was doctor recommended, but she just used vitamin E oil as Nana suggested.
