DS is 12 weeks, has MSPI, and is also probably allergic to all legumes and eggs... maybe corn. I've been off ALL dairy and soy since the end of October, with one minor slip-up. We gave him Elecare for 4 days, because DH made something for us for dinner with canned tuna (contains soy). Oops. I would have given it longer but he seemed more unpleasant with much more mucus in his stool, along with a recurrence of his reflux . Is it possible to have a reaction to the Elecare? I cut out corn now because of how he reacted to the Elecare but is it possible it's just the soy oil in it? I've cut out the top 8 (3 weeks now), as well as corn (one week), and he just seems so unhappy. He sees the GI specialist for a follow-up to his double ended scope 4 weeks ago, but the Dr. isn't very open to the possibility of him being sensitive to the Elecare. He pretty much told me it was impossible and that I should stop breastfeeding. Ugh, I guess that's not really much of a question - I suppose it's totally possible he can't tolerate Elecare. I just needed to vent because I'm SO frustrated. I honestly don't even know what a normal diaper looks like anymore, and I have no clue how it feels to have a happy & content baby. I don't want to give up breastfeeding, but I also feel like I'm poisoning my baby! Is he really going to be like this for the next 9 months?! I have no idea how I'm going to feed him so that he can be a happy and healthy kid.
