Mold?

I was washing my diapers this morning and noticed that one of the wipes has mold. Its black and pink. I didn't see any on any of the inserts or covers. Should I be worried? Should I bleach all the inserts or do extra washes?

I'd throw away the wipe and consider either 1/4 cup bleach or some TTO and GFSE to disinfect

I rewashed all the inserts and wipes (I use Flips) with bleach. Hopefully this will protect against anything that could have gotton on the rest of the load.

I accidentally used 1/2 cup instead of 1/4. I rinsed the diapers 5 times yesterday, put one on her and she started crying in pain after 5 minutes. I took it off and gave her a bath and she was fine.

She is now wearing sposies, since all but one of her diapers was washed with the bleach. Today, I washed with detergent and rinsed them 3 more times. They didn't smell like bleach, but they didn't the first time either.

I'm so paranoid to put them on her. I don't want to cause her pain and I can't think of a good way to test.

I think you will be fine now, but it's hard not to worry

I would also clean your washer.  It's possible the mold came from there and not from your diapers.  I use vinegar to clean mine.

I hadn't considered that. We have had no more issues, but if we run across it again, I will keep that in mind.
