So I am doing the holiday gift cards for my kids' teachers, and I am giving the two floater teachers small gift cards as well. I realized they probably don't get as much recognition as the designated classroom teachers and I feel kind of bad for them. Then I started thinking....does anyone do anything for their director? I haven't in the past but I am wondering if others do.

I haven't in the past and now I'm thinking the same thing. I did buy for the two teachers in DD's room and 2-3 of the subs.

We didn't get anything for the director, or any of the associate directors (there are 3). We did do 6 primary teachers (she moved infant A to B, and there were teacher shifts), and none of the floaters. It's hard to know where to stop!

I know....I never did the floaters before this year and now I am feeling kind of bad about that. I feel like I owe it to them now especially because i have not just one kid, but two that they bounce back and forth between.

I am leaning toward skipping the director and assistant director-they are nice people but I don't think they really expect gifts since they are not teachers? someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The director where D1 is sometimes covers her classroom, so I got her a little something. I ended up getting her primary teachers (there are two of them) giftcards, her two afternoon teachers lotions and the director a nice bag from Barnes and Noble.

We aren't in a center, but I just want to say thank goodness I don't have to buy for 5 or 6 people. I thought buying for one person was hard enough.

We didn't do the director or assistant director. I got gift cards for DS's primary two teachers and then an amount a little lower for the 2 floaters in his room. I didn't do the floaters last year when he was in the infant room, but decided to do them this year since they are now much more involved in the daily activities and such.

Ok, so there are 4 teachers in the room - DD's 2 primary teachers (which got gc's, bath bombs and heartfelt notes) and 2 others who mostly have their own students to wrangle (they got gc's in smaller amounts and bath bombs as well).

I didn't get anything for the floaters, because I don't know who they are anymore and DD has just started (like in the past 2 weeks) transitioning to another room.

I've never gotten anything for the directors.

We just did her teacher and assistant teacher. I thought about the floaters and director, but we don't have a ton of money this holiday season due to me just returning to work this week, so I had to draw the line even though I feel guilty about it.

We did a nice gift for her 2 primary teachers and I got a smaller gift for the director, who we have known for a long time. On the way home today I was thinking about how I should have also given gifts to her first teachers in Infant 2. She's now moving to Tod B. She sees a lot of floating teachers too. Well, feeling a bit guilty I didn't buy for more people.
