No paci..?

Does anyone else's LO not love the pacifier? We have tried on numerous occasions to give her one, but she half sucks/half pushes it out of her mouth. she only likes sucking on her hand and on my collarbone while Im rocking her. Do I have the only child who doesnt like them?

Our baby doesn't like it either... I wish he would though because his sucking motions often wake him up and without the pacifier its hard for him to fall back asleep... but as long as he doesn't start sucking his thumb, does this mean no dental work in the future???? Ha probably not.

Depends on the day...sometimes MJ likes his, sometimes he doesn't. And he only likes the Avent Soothe one.

Asher will take his paci for about 5 seconds, then spit it out with an awful look on his face, lol. Sadly, he prefers me to be his paci. I don't know what to do...my other kids loved their pacis! It would be awesome if he liked it, especially in the car.

You are not alone! My LO Hayes then and we have tried a lot of different ones. She's also not very happy with bottles either.

My daughter doesn't like them either. Most of the time that makes me happy, but occasionally it would be nice to use them.

I have three kids and NONE of them liked the paci. I bought a ton of them, none of them worked for any of them...everyone just kept telling me that was a good thing because you just have to take them away later.

Mine is too though I've been able to get her to use it part of time at night but even that's hit or miss.  She much prefers my nipple as a paci.  She will gag if I try to give her one any time else.

Mine doesnt like bottles either. At first I couldnt find nipples that were skow enough and didnt gag her. Now she tries to latch onto the nipple but gets frustrated and gives up trying. I only have two weeks to get her used to bottles before I go back to work.

I don't use one either. I only tried once in the hospital and he wouldn't take it. DS1 never liked one either.

The only one my son will take is the Wubanubs(sp?) with the little stuffed animal attached. I found it at a local baby store and they have been a life saver.

My son hated every pacifier until a friend of ours sent us an all natural rubber pacifier.  He LOVES that one and now is much more open to others.  But that is still his go to.
