Accidentally ate bad cheese; help!

Hi ladies! I'm 6 weeks and have been having a bad day with morning sickness. After being sick all day I was finally feeling well enough to eat a small meal. I decided to put some shredded cheese on the meal and heat it in the microwave. After I had eaten 5-10 bites I smelled the package of cheese and it smelled bad! There was no mold and the expiration was for February 2013 but it was definitely bad, should I be worried?

  • No. You heated it up and that's the best you can do. If you had reason to worry you would feel sick by now. It might upset your tummy a bit, but it is not harmful for baby.

  • Nothing you can do about it now. I wouldn't worry too much.
  • I'm super uptight about everything I eat, but I wouldn't be too worried about this.  You heated it up which means you probably killed whatever bacteria was there.  If you haven't gotten sick from it yet, i'm sure you're fine :)  You could call your dr. though if it will ease your mind.

This...I would bet pregnancy nose is to blame. It was probably fine, especially considering the expiration date. Also cheese will grow mold so no mold coupled with it being within the expiration date equals good cheese to me!
