Fun things to do with baby?

I just finished finals (phew!) and have about 6 weeks off before classes start again. I'm so excited to be able to spend every day with DD, but I'm thinking we might need some activities to fill our days! Has anyone done Gymboree classes, are they any good? Any fun ideas for getting out and about, besides just running errands? What do your LOs like to do? I'm just home with her on weekends and we're always so busy running errands and stuff, I realized I haven't spent this much one-on-one time with her since she was an itty bitty baby! Sniff, sniff.....

My DD loves story time at Barnes and noble.

My public library offers a "Music Garden" once a week, and LO loves it.  I would check to see if your library offers any fun kids activities.  I know mine also does a storytime but I have yet to attend that (always lands during DD's naptime!)

I didn't even know B&N had a story time! That's a great idea. I wondered if DD might be a little young, but worth checking out - she loves it when we read at home. Thanks ladies!

I thought DD was too young too but I took her to try it out and she lives it! She is so entertained by the storyteller he actually acts out the stories she can't take her eyes off if him the whole time. He says she's his best audience lol

Definitely not too young.  We just started going to story time (I just found out about it) and even though DD doesn't understand the stories, she loves looking at the other kids. They do songs and things as well, which she loves. She loves books when we are at home too!
