any good organic toddler meals?

I've tried a number of organic toddler meal options including Happy Baby, Sprout, and Gerber's organic stuff...and I'm not happy with any of it and my DD doesn't like any of them except the ravioli from happy baby. Anyone out there know of any good toddler meals and foods that aren't mashed up and tasteless. I would give her what we have for dinner sometimes but DD goes to bed before DH comes home for dinner.

  • You could give her what you would eat for dinner just earlier. My son loves the Plum Organics Happy Tots squeezable snacks.

  • I like to keep the Dr. Praeger's veggie littles on hand for nights when LO can't eat what we eat.  Also, Mom Made had some good frozen meatballs that DD loved, but I can't find anymore (from Whole Foods.)  Because I couldn't find them, I went and found a baby meatball recipe and made a bunch to keep in the freezer.  HTH
  • I make my own quiches or muffins from weelicious and we always have them on hand for nights when we are eating something we don't want DS to eat or for out to eat.  I also will just make him something different quickly- an omelette or veggies with hummus and fruit are two of his favorites.  DH usually gets home around bed time.  I eat with our child and he reheats food.  Like PP said, I think it's important to establish the "family meal" at a young age.

  • I make dinner early (we like slow cooker meals) for LO when DH isn't home in time for dinner. I also buy a rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods once a week or so and feed that to LO on days that I'm not getting dinner ready early. It doubles as an easy meal for both of us when DH is out of town for work.

  • I would give her more foods that we eat but she it's good at chewing yet unless it's something that falls apart easily or is soft. She just gets super fussy by 4 (dinner at 5) that I find it hard to make anything when she's under my feet. I tried putting her in the bouncer to keep her occupied and all she does it shriek. I do like the idea of making stuff and putting it in the freezer. Thanks for the ideas!
