We got an E-Mail

Today I got an e-mail around lunch time from our SW introducing herself and touching base with us to set up a home study date. YAY!! She said that working with the agency is a second job so she primarily meets with families on nights or weekends. That is such a huge relief that she's flexible for non-traditional business hours as we both work during the day. I responded that we're open to evenings/weekends and to let us know a date that works for her. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly!

*We're not 'out' to our family yet so I needed somewhere to express my excitement. We won't be officially sharing until we're home study approved just to give us some breathing space to deal with the stress without 9000 questions/opinions*

Yay, one step closer!  We were also able to do our visits on weekends because our SW also had a full-time job.  Good luck, our visits were super laid back.

We wanted to wait a little longer to tell friends and family too but we needed letters of reference and didn't want it getting "leaked" to our families if we told those few friends first. Good luck with everything!

Yes our Agency requires 5 letters- 4 friends/co-workers and then 1 family member. I was sooo nervous to ask for them because we aren't sharing until we're home study approved and on the waiting list but I think we made it pretty clear to our friends and my cousin to keep our secret quite for awhile.
