Target furniture for nursery

Wondering if anyone out there has bought furniture from Target for their nursery.  They've got some brand names that I like but the prices are about 1/2 of what BRU or BuyBuyBaby is charging. We're a little worried about quality and I've heard Target has a tough return policy for anything baby or registry related.

We noticed last night that the crib we want is on sale at target. Also, SIL works in targets marketing department so if we use her card and order online we can get an extra 10 and she gets extra savings around the holidays that we can add so I think that is our plan as it is the exact same crib and way cheaper. If it is the same brand I don't see how the quality would be different? Target doesn't make it, just sells it.

Thanks, ladies.  I have target furniture in my home that's great and I've been very happy with it.  I guess I just want to know that what I'm putting the LO in or on has been manufactured with the highest standards.  Some of their furniture is name brand (Graco) while others I haven't heard of... I'm a FTMso that doesn't mean a whole lot either.  Based on your responses, I think we'll go for it, we can outfit a whole nursery with crib, dresser and changing table for less than $700.

I plan on getting the crib from Target or Burlington. BRU is overpriced when it comes to furniture.

Just do your research on the brand.  I like the book Baby Bargains because it will tell you pros and cons of mostly every item out there.
