My son keeps surprising me. The other day he unzipped my purse. Yesterday he took the lid off of some raisins, took out some raisins and put the lid back on, then today he found an empty vitamin bottle in the trash (not a child proof top) and he took the top off! I wasn't expecting this stuff until like 18 months to 2-years, is this typical development? He is picking stuff up really quickly, it is actually kind of freaking me out. Would love to hear your experiences.

Re: Zippers, Lids and tops of bottles at 13 months
Your son has great fine motor skills; if you haven't already it is probably time for round two of child proofing (e.g. cupboards with cleaning products!). DD seems to always be one step ahaed of me!
He will probably enjoy a new stage of play too now (e.g. the tuperware drawer, play kitchens, little people, puzzles). DD loves to play with containers with lids in the bath where she can fill then with water/bubbles and shake!
