I swore I would never be the mother that called the pediatrician all the time, but DS has been so sick and I don't know what to do. 10 days ago he started with diarrhea, I thought it was because we started him on table foods and something didn't agree with his stomach. Within 24 hours he had 105 fever and we were in the ER. They said it was just a nasty virus and it would run itself out. Just keep pumping fluids and motrin. Fever was gone after 48 hours but diarrhea lasted. All of a sudden 9 days after the original virus struck, fever was back. We gave him meds and the fevers broke after 25 minutes but sure enough 5.5 hours later they came back. Once the fever breaks he acts completely normal. BUT he refuses to take formula and hasn't had a bottle in TWO days. Will only drink pedialite or watered down apple juice. Throws up everything else. Barely has an appetite at all. Guess Ill be calling the pediatrician AGAIN!

Anyone else have this bug going around??

    Better go in and get checked for dehydration. I'd be most concerned about not getting nutrients in 2 days.

    Took DS in to see the pediatrician... They think its either rotavirus or c diff. Had to provide a stool sample and now we just wait for the results.

    Poor guy hasn't been able to keep anything down but watered down apple juice.

    So now we have to be super catious about dehydration.

    I just feel so bad for him!
