Can someone post that schedule for cleaning a little every day. I'm not a person who likes or thrives on routine but I'm just floundering right now. I feel like I need to get my act together and suck it up. Things aren't working and I'm depressed. I never have enough time or energy to get things done and I think it's primarily because I am constantly winging it. HALP!
We've had a hard time keeping up as well. A big part of the problem is that DS is unpacking, disassembling or just generally spreading stuff all over the house all the time. So if you turn your back for a second to actually work on cleaning something, he's in the other corner un-cleaning something else.
I just keep telling myself this phase won't last forever.
I had such a good thing going where I would come home from work and clean while hazel played before dinner. I would clean one thing each day, not on a schedule, just whatever needed it.
but then work got crazy, I've been out of the house with hazel till almost 9 every night, so we'd get home put her to bed and then I'd eat and be ready for bed myself. In the mornings all I had time to do was dump out the contents of my bag from the day before and repack. As a result my house is a mess and my kitchen table is covered in whatever I've pulled out of my bag.
I desperately need to do a deep clean and start fresh.
Thank you so much for the suggestions and commiseration. G is a force or nature; kind of like a tornado lol. Between him, the cats, my DH and my small condo that we're trying to get ready for sale, I'm just drowning.
Floundering here too. DH & I just talked this weekend about reprinting our "cleaning schedule" that we had before. It's a 20-30 mins per day thing, and it made a HUGE difference!
I just usually try to keep up on the dishes, kitchen, laundry, and vaccuuming. I try to assess what needs to be done the most when I get home from work. Do the most urgent and then cook dinner. Then I will clean up dinner which usually involves vaccuuming as well. UGH! I am overwhelmed too!
Re: I'm floundering lately (cleaning/schedule related)
No advice here, just commiseration! LOL

I'm probably not the best person to take advice from. As long as the kitchen isn't filthy and the laundry's being done I feel like we're doing good.
I've seen a lot of people recommend the fly lady's website. It might be worth a shot.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Our cleaning schedule that we used to post was this:
Mopping Monday: Clean one floor in your house
Toss it Tuesday: Choose one area to organize and clean, focusing on throwing away
Wipe it Wednesday: Wipe down one bathroom in your house, top to bottom.
Ten Thing Thursday: Put away ten things in each room (I actually do this every day. It makes the biggest difference)
F-it Friday: Do one thing you have been putting off all week
But we are drowning here too. My schedule used to work before I had a newborn!

Here, I hope this post alright:
