tag vs tag junior

i bought my ds a tag junior used off a swap site and tried to download books onto it, half way through it has quit working. We have tried everything but i think it's just broken. :(

I think thinking on now buying one new as we have 10 books to go with it. I'mwondering if I should buy the junior or if I should spend the extra $10 for the tag pen.  It is to big for a toodlers hand?  Does it still work the same on the tag junior books as the junior does?

I'm so frusterated right now.  I have never had a good experience with leapfrog products, but it seems like such a neat product.

Re: tag vs tag junior

  • We have the tag junior and tons of books I have never spent full price on one I put off buying the actual reader for quite a while and ended up getting the tag jr bundle from kohls, originally 60, with a 30 off coupon and kohls cash on top of that so it ended up being 18 altogether. Maybe look into one of the bundles or I know the generic looking reader not scout or violet can be found a bit cheaper. I've never used the regular tag, but I can tell you the tag junior only fits about 5 books on it so you'll have to switch em out every so often to utilize all the books you own. Hope that helped a little!!

  • Since you have the books I would say definitely buy the tag junior. We have it for DD and she loves it, though right now she kind of hits the page with it but we have just introduced it so she is still learning it. lol. I think the pen is not as cute as the tag junior so we don't have it. Maybe when she's older.
