Call dr to change shots appt to sick appt??

DD has fever tonight (101.5) and has a dr appt tomorrow to get shots (which she won't be getting now). Would u call dr to. Let them know she is sick or just bring her in?  Her appt is at 240 and sick appointments in the office start at 3...

is it a well-baby visit or just for shots? if it is just for shots at our doctor we just see the nurse and it's not a real appt (no weighing, no real exam, etc).

if it's your well-baby appt, I'd just go and let them do all the stuff and decide on the shots once you are there - 101.5 is pretty low grade I think, and she might be a lot better tomorrow. my daughter had a cold at her 12 mo well  visit and was at 99.9 and got her shots anyway and was fine - they said they wouldn't with hold shots unless she was super sick and had a higher fever (they don't consider anything 101 and under a problem apparently). 

but, if you're just going in for shots, I'd call and reschedule if you're not comfortable with her having them tomorrow.

I would call and give them a heads up, give them a chance to change the reason for the visit in their computers rather than blindside the nurses and doctor. I doubt they'll change your appt time, but they'll be prepared for a possibly sick child instead of expecting a healthy one.

I just went through something kind of similar a couple weeks ago...the nurse at our pedi's office handles the shots only appts. If we want to see a Dr we have to schedule a seperate appt
