Hi we will be traveling with LO this xmas first time for her in airplane, any recommendations? Do the airlines let you travel on board with formula, what are your experiences traveling with LO's on airplane, thanks im a little nervous...
Put the formula in a seperate area in your bag or a cooler that is easy to pull out. Hand it to the tsa agent as you go through and tell them it is for the baby. I never had I problem bring any type of food or drink for a baby through.
Bring extra formula and paci's so he has something to suck on. I like having a sling to help hold him on my lap.
They used a wand over the bottles and I just asked them to put on fresh gloves. Other than that bring bottles, pacifiers and have your LO suck during take off and landing. Also bring a change of clothes for LO and you and DH incase you get spit up on or pooped on. You don't want to have to smell like that for an entire flight.
All the things PP's said. And remember to stay calm. It is okay if LO cries, you paid for your ticket too. Bring more than necessary diapers and wipes in case of delays. I packed 2 outfits for same reason, when we flew over Thanksgiving week.
Dont worry about formula you can bring it, just make sure you claim it with TSA. I liked having my stroller going through the airport. It was nice to hang diaper bag and carry-on in if and DD while she slept, and great to have when we got there.
