Re: *~* GTKY Holiday Edition *~*

  • 1. Christmas and New Year's

    2. Yes! We wrapped the last of the presents last night. Xmas can't come soon enough!

    3.  I enjoy them somewhat. DH is obsessed with Xmas music and listens to it on his ipod ALL year round. I only enjoy them this time of year, but he lets me be in charge of the remote to skip songs I don't like.

    4. Having time off. I will be on Winter break Dec 20-Jan 1.

    5. No resolutions, really.

    6. I need to finish reading an overdue library book that I want to finish but am having a hard time getting through.

TTC from May 2011 to Jan 2013. Due 9/11/13

  • 1. Christmas & New Years

    2. I'm almost there.  I just need to get a couple more people finished up.

    3. I love all the Christmas music!  I have my car on the local Christmas station, and I enjoy listening to music via apple tv throughout our house :)

    4. I am looking forward to Christmas Eve with my in-laws.  The family, food and drinks make for a fabulous evening.

    5. I would like to learn how to knit.  That's not really a resolution, I suppose, but it is something I have been wanting to learn.

    6. Organizing our garage.  We went to a Christmas party with friends last night out of town.  I have zero desire to do anything other than order Jimmy Johns, lounge and veg out.

Have a great rest of your weekend too!

    *Taking a break*

  • 1. What holiday(s) do you celebrate around this time of year?
    Christmas & New Years

    2. Have you gotten all your shopping done?
Nope! Going to go (hopefully) finish it up today! I have not started shopping for our annual xmas party at all though!

    3. Do you get stabby hearing xmas songs all month long or do you love it?
Love it, though I'm more of a fan of the "newer" xmas songs.

    4. What's the biggest thing you're looking forward to this month?
Starting a new med cycle, xmas parties, being off work...

    5. Any New Year's Resolutions planned?
Going to try to get in shape and get healthy. Again!

    6. What's on your to-do list today that you're totally blowing off?
Putting up the xmas lights. I had time to do it this morning, but the bump got in the way :)

  • 1. Hanukkah and The Yew Year.

    2. Yep! Hanukkah is over.

    3. I love Holiday Music. DH gets seriously stabby over it but I love it!!!

    4. This is my first medicated cycle and honestly I'm excited to see my first positive OPK....and maybe HPT.

    5. I don't have any resolutions...yet.

    6. I'm in a short play festival next month and I need to memorize my lines. I'm bumping at work instead.

  • 1. We "celebrate" Christmas with our families by doing big meals all together, but both DH and I are really not fans of the whole thing. We don't do a tree or lights or presents (I know, I know... we get a ton of grief for it from friends/family). I guess we're Scrooges :)

    2. Yep! We are only getting presents for our nephew this year (he's 7 months old) so he was easy! We don't do present swaps in my family or his.. we go together in a big group and buy things for an Angel Tree kid, but we don't get each other presents. I know some people might not be cool with that, but we save a ton of money and the Angel tree is for a good cause.

    3. I think I tune them out.

    4. Reading!! Now that I have a little time off for the holiday, I can't wait to finish a couple books I've got going.

    5. No resolutions as of yet... other than the usual "get in better shape" ones.

    6. I need to clean my house! And I have exams to grade.

  • 1. What holiday(s) do you celebrate around this time of year?

    Festivus, Christmas and New Years

    2. Have you gotten all your shopping done?

Finally got about 85% done, but the remaining gifts shouldn't take too long.  Everything in the house is wrapped but several are in mailing transit.

    3. Do you get stabby hearing xmas songs all month long or do you love it?

I limit the Christmas music I hear so that I don't get sick of it.  This year I've actually listened to very little and think this is the week to crank it up.

    4. What's the biggest thing you're looking forward to this month?

Aside from my birthday on Tuesday? LOL.  Actually I'm most looking forward to seeing my parents.  It's a 12 hour drive and I only see them once a year.  Last year it was for Thanksgiving so I'm happy to be spending Christmas with them this year.

    5. Any New Year's Resolutions planned?

Nope.  I'd like to reorganize closets, get piles for donation, etc. but that's more a "to do" then resolution.

    6. What's on your to-do list today that you're totally blowing off?

Umm....nothing?  I have to work this evening/night until 11:30 so I'm trying to enjoy as much laying around as possible today.

We make jokes about our "Airing of grievances", my dad has a Festivus pole that two years ago he put out on the front porch for all to see, and my brother likes to wrestle with my nephews and calls it the Feats of strength (the youngest is 10 so between the three of them this year I think they might take him down)...so yes... my family every two years when we are together celebrates all three aspects of Festivus.   We're weird and we like it! 4. Getting a treadmill for Christmas.

    5. My RE decided for me. He wrote on a script walk 5x/wk for 20-30min/day.

    2. I'm done shopping and wrapping.  DH still needs to finish shopping for me though.

     3. I mostly love Christmas songs, I just get tired of them after awhile.

    4. I actually O'd this month, so FX for a BFP.  If that doesn't work out, I would say meeting with the RE and getting a plan.

    5. Not specifically.  Just eating well, and trying to continue working out.

    6. Nothing really, I had to plan volleyball practices for the week, but I did that in my pj's on the couch, so it wasn't too tough. :)

  • 1. What holiday(s) do you celebrate around this time of year? Christmas. We might do something low key for New Year's this year but probably not due to my work schedule.

    2. Have you gotten all your shopping done? Absolutely not, I just started it last night. In my defense, I only have to shop for H and my parents because we won't see everyone else until mid-January so I can take advantage of post-Christmas sales.

    3. Do you get stabby hearing xmas songs all month long or do you love it? I normally don't like it but for some reason this year I do.

    4. What's the biggest thing you're looking forward to this month? I'm really happy we're going to see my parents right after Christmas.

    5. Any New Year's Resolutions planned? Be more consistent with my weight workouts.

    6. What's on your to-do list today that you're totally blowing off? Nothing, I knew I'd be drained today so I planned nothing :)

    2. Have you gotten all your shopping done? Yes!!

    3. Do you get stabby hearing xmas songs all month long or do you love it? I love Christmas music!!

    4. What's the biggest thing you're looking forward to this month? I love being with family on Christmas eve,  this year we're planning on having crab legs!!  I also love baking, so that's been keeping me busy.

    5. Any New Year's Resolutions planned? I probably should lose some weight. Also to be happier.  I am really bad at comparing myself to others that have kids/are pregnant and I know I shouldn't.
