increased movement

I am 35 weeks along and have been told several times that this is when my little guy will slow down in his movements because he's running out of space. However, he seems more active than ever! Today for example, he did not stop moving. All day since 2am.I thought he take a break at some point for a little nap, but I was wrong! Is anyone else having more movement than in the past? has anyone heard if it's an indicator of him being completely happy and staying in there for a quite a while longer or an indicator of him saying I want to stretch so im about to come out?

Re: increased movement

  • I'd think it was just an indicator that you have a healthy baby in there:) I'm also surprised by how active my little guys still are.....they're almost 8 1/2 lbs together so they have to be running out of space in there!

  • My LO has been the same! She's way more active the last couple weeks than she had been before.

We had to make a trip to LD the other day for possible leaking fluids thankfully, a false alarm, and they had me hooked up to the contraction monitor. I was having very mild ones that I couldn't feel, but were registering on the monitor. But funny thing, LO would get super squirmy right after one showed up on the monitor, so I think getting squeezed is what's making her move around so much.

  • I was just telling DH how much LO was moving lately....he says "he's" getting restless in there! Four more weeks!

This exactly happened to me as well. The only difference was that I could feel the contractions but they didn't hurt except for one bigger one and even then not that badly.

  • I'm 34 weeks and he's pretty busy most days. He'll have an hour or two here and there of quiet then as soon as I eat or drink something ice cold he's all wiggly and flippy again.
