The Hunger Games

DH is at work tonight so I decided tonight's the night I'm going to watch The Hunger Games. I'm gonna put the kiddies to bed early and order Chinese for myself and watch it ; I've got a real exciting night planned, haha!
Am I the only one who hasn't seen it?

No! It's not really a bad movie, I just couldn't get passed all they left out from the book. I just loved the books a lot, so the movie didn't do it justice for me.

I read the books, they were  eh.  I tried to watch the movie and couldn't get into it.

Here I am! The movie was amazing IMO. Not as good as the books, of course. But I think given the challenges of adapting a book like that into a movie, they did a really amazing job! Let us know what you think!

I'm the opposite.  I read the books before I saw the movie, but I enjoyed the movie MUCH more than the books.  Much, much more.  Really, I thought the story was great (well, it was great in the first 2 books at least... didn't like the 3rd).  But, I didn't like the author's writing or character development.  I found Katniss a MUCH more likeable character in the movies, and i don't typically like a book unless I like the protagonist.

I never read the books so I can't base what I just watched on them. 

I liked it. It was definitely different, strange and interesting. I'd like to know what happens next but I'll wait for the movie. I don't see myself getting into the books. If I had to predict, I think Liam Hemsworth gets sent out next? 

If you had to choose a Hemsworth brother, that'd be a tough choice to make! Good genes run in that family.

In the books, she was mostly only kissing him for the sponsors. But, there was one authentic kiss that you really couldn't decipher in the movie. 

Also, Peeta is far less of a wimp in the next 3 movies, and is not as big of a wimp in the book either.

Hahah sorry! The books are amazing. And I know, I am like, already lining up baby-sitters so I can see the movie at midnight! I am so excited. It should be so good. The second book was my favorite.
