PPD/PPA meds

So I have been diagnosed PPD and Panic Disorder. I'm currently taking the smallest dosage for Zoloft so we are now going to be working up the dosage over the next couple weeks on that. The doctor also spoke to me about taking Trazadone. Has anyone taken his? I'm BFing so I have my concerns, but then again, I need to get myself better and if I have to quit BFing to do so, I will, but of course I'd rather continue. Experiences? Thoughts?

  • I didn't think zoloft was safe bf'ing either. Check that.
Hope it works for you. I'm gonna try after I'm done feeding. Tired of feeling low and scared.
  • We FF, but I take 50mg of trazodone nightly in order to help me get to sleep. My PPA was preventing me from falling asleep and it works great for helping me to fall asleep. Once my baby is sttn, I plan to stop taking it, but it's working well for now and is non addictive, unlike other sleep meds. I'm not sure how well it would work as an antidepressant though, since my issues are with PPA and not PPD. Best of luck to you!
