I'm so upset about the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I worked at this school a few years ago running the after school program and summer program. I can't imagine it being a place of such unimaginable horror. And they took the victims to the hospital where my lo was in the NICU. So awful. I can't believe it!

Wow I can't believe that!  

Things like this are always very difficult to hear, but now that I'm a mom, I find them even more horrifying.  I was starting to cry a little bit when I first heard about it.  It's enough to make me want to keep my DS on lockdown his entire life just to keep him away from nutsos.

I've been crying all day and holding DS tight.  my friend's sister is currently on maternity leave. Her replacement was one of the adults killed today.... so it would have been her most likely... a friend's coworker's niece is also in the afternoon kindergarten class... shivers.  Every time I think of those poor little innocent children I cry. Killing a child is evil defined in my mind.  I cannot imagine anything worse.  They were playing tapes of children saying what they saw and it was so painful to realize they have lost their innocence. I hope that DS can be a child and innocent for as long as possible and I will do everything in my power to protect that.

We are just 15 miles from Newtown as well.  Its absolutely heartbreaking.
