I feel so bad...

1 day after turning 6 months and I make my son bleed.

I trimmed is nails this morning since he was scrathing his face and I must have trimmed one a little too much cause when I got to the sitters (my neighbor across the street) he was bleeding. I know this happens, but I still feel so bad.

I tried to get it to stop bleeding, but it wouldn't, so we put a band aid on his finger and the sitter said she would watch him super close until it stops and then remove it.

I was doing so great up until today...

I'm sure you're doing great! Accidents happen! I haven't done that yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. I did accidentally clunk him in the head with my iPad a few months ago. I think I cried harder than he did. I felt like a horrible mom!!

Don't be so hard on yourself. You would have felt worse if your LO scratched up his face because you didn't trim them.

Awwww...its okay. I feel the same way if anything ever happens to DS under my care. If ever you can't get something to stop bleeding, put some sugar on it...just plain old white table sugar. It helps the blood coagulate and stop the bleeding. Just food for thought...especially for those later years when they scrape up their knees!! Whole lot less painful using sugar...
