Gender Reveal Scratch off card!?!?

I had to cancel my appointment this week. I some how scheduled it on the same day as my sons field trip. I have to wait until Wednesday, which I'm not too upset about because that is my wedding anniversary. I thought it would be a special gift to find out what our LO will be on such a special day. With that being said, I decided that once we find out I would try to hold off and tell the rest of the family on Christmas day in a fun and unique way. I designed this card which I will have to complete once we find out the gender of the baby. So instead of passing out a Christmas card to everyone they will get a scratch off card.

What do you think about my card? Has anyone else revealed the sex of their baby using the scratch off cards?

    I think it's really cute! We're doing something similar. We are hosting our annual holiday party for all of our family and friends the day after our a/s so we're going to give everyone scratch offs that look like lottery tickets in their cards.

    I know there are some websites in which you can pay to design these cards. I simply designed mine in Microsoft Publisher and used a blank post card template. Of course the scratch off thing will take a little time. I found DIY instructions on how to make the silver scratch off thing on a few blogs.

    First Son - born 2013
    Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
    Third Son - due June 9, 2018

    We revealed using scratch offs and everybody loved it!! We already knew so watching all the reactions as they scratched was amazing!! Our saying said "Girl or boy what will it be? Scratch with a coin and you will see!"

    I thought the cards were super cute and wanted to do it. But I could not wait and told our family right away. LOL

    I was contemplating this idea but went with popping black balloons with blue confetti. My suggestion is if you can change the wording I would change is on ITS way to is on THE way. I think it sounds better with the word the.
