My Wife Rules.

So I got home from my business trip last night to find my Christmas/Birthday Present wrapped up in the living room!

Why? Would could it be? Well it is none other than..

THE MAN-ROCKER!

A nice comfy leather rocker! Clearly, this was needed in the near future so I can assist rocking the baby. We are purchasing a glider rocker for my wife in the nursery- so I get my own awesome leather rocker!

But wait! There's more!

Not only is it a rocker. But it is also a TRANSFORMER

The front corners of the rocker pop out to reveal two cupholders that are sunk into the arm to insulate and maintain absolute control at all times. Did I mention two? One for me. One for baby. We are prepared!

AND... the arm rests slide back to reveal a cubby hole on both sides. Remote? Check! PS3 controller? Check! Pacifier? Check! Random baby toy? Check!

But wait! There's more!

Are you tired of rocking? Does the awesome feeling of floating on a cloud get you sea sick or whatever you call cloud sick? Looking to stretch out and don't want to drag an ottoman over or throw your feet up on the coffee table?

Good news, everybody! It also extends almost completely horizontal (with weight in the chair) to transform into another beast... The Man-cliner!!!

 

I think the baby and I are ready to take on THE WORLD!

 

It was my Christmas/Birthday present because I rock! (My birthday is Jan 14- due date is Jan11. Maybe baby and I will share a bday? We are sharing the Man-Rocker!)

2. My birthday is jan 22, DH is jan 23 but that's off topic. My dad is jan 24, which is when they got to come home from the hospital after I was born. He's always said that was the best birthday present. So aside from the man rocker, your wife is awesome for the bday present you'll be getting even closer to your actual birthday. Yay!

I completely agree. I can't wait to be the first one to sing Happy Birthday to her for the first time.  It is a Happy Birthday truly for both of us.

My first was due 1/5 and my birthday is 1/4, but he came on 12/10. Go figure.

Wow! So let me ask you this..

Were you hoping your kid came on your birthday or not?

I think it would be awesome. I can totally do tea parties and princess parties for the next 12 years or so (if that is what she wants).

But others have said that it would suck and the kid may feel like she doesn't get her own day. Even though I would gladly sacrifice mine.

What say you?

That is nice! The only thing that would make it better would be if it massaged too. I offered to get DH this iJoy for his bday this past year and he declined:

Nooo!!! I hate built in massagers in furniture.  I don't think they work, most of them are just glorified vibration devices and ugh. I never feel relaxed or massaged by them. 

I just hate massaging furniture. 

But to each their own!

I told DH I want a rocker recliner before #2 arrives. The glider is just not comfy to sleep in when you have a baby that doesn't want to be put down. So many nights I wished I had a chair like that. Don't be surprised if your wife takes it over for awhile!

Oh I agree most of them suck and just vibrate and poke, but you need to try the iJoy. It is like no other.

We have a (less awesome) version of this. It's micro-suede, rocks, and has cup holders and  storage for tailgating. It's so comfortable. We didn't want to get a traditional rocker but a nice piece of furniture like you have. 

DH totally plans to put it in his man cave once we are out of the baby stage.  

ETA: ours has the massager in it but it's kind of crappy, more like vibrations that any type of massaging motion.

I have one of these at my computer desk but it's about 14 years old and the bar hurts my back at night. This is wy I mostly mobile bump in the evening.

Your wife does rule.

Hey we're birthday buds. 

Cool gift and my immediate thought was that it would be perfect for sleeping with/rocking the new baby.  Glad you're already planning on it becoming a baby rocker! lol

That's pretty awesome!  She's a much better wife than I.  DH is getting a pair of jeans for Christmas.

I think my DH will have to receive one some day. I love that she put your controller on the chair as well! I second the massage furniture discomfort. They do not replicate hands whatsoever.

Also, BIL and MIL share a birthday, and while they're both perfectly okay with it, I do think it would have been nice for BIL to have his own day.  Although, as a twin, I don't know what it's like to have my own birthday either.
