Elliot's sick for the first time..

Elliot is not ok. I'm not really sure whats up though. He doesn't have a fever, but something is definitely wrong.. He's exhausted and won't sleep, he didn't finish his bottle either. I'm holding him and rocking him and he's just sobbing. He isn't crying at all, just sobbing huge gulps of air. He's also sweating profusely. I've been checking his temp every 30 minutes and it hasn't gotten over 99.1. I gave him some baby tylenol about two hours ago thinking it might be his teeth, and it definitely calmed him down, but he's still not ok. He was pulling at his ear this morning though and I called and made an appointment for him to be seen tomorrow at one. This is just breaking my heart. =( I feel like theres nothing I can do to make it all better. ='(

ETA:....I've had a stomach bug for the past week or so. I actually thought it was the flu for a few days. I've been feeling better the past day and a half, but I'm wondering if he's got it now. My stomach was basically just hurting constantly and  all my food was going straight through me. His diapers have been solid though all day today, no diarrhea. but I wonder if he could be getting what I had...

Awww sorry he's not feeling good, hope he feels better soon. I wouldn't worry about the ear thing. My DS does that too and when I brought it up with the Pedi she said it's normal. I also read in the "what to expect the 1st year" that lots of babies do it.

Thats good to know! Thanks. Hopefully the pedi can shed some light on whats actually wrong tomorrow when they see him. He finally went to sleep for about an hour, but now he's awake again. I'm thinking its going to be a long night of snuggling on the couch, so I'm settling in with him, a good book, and everything else I could possibly need within arms reach.

DD grabs her ear too. I think it's just because she finally found it lol. I hope he feels better soon! It's awful when they cry that painful cry : hang in there

Sorry about that. LO was also up every hour last night, not fever but 99.2ish. She had her shots 2 days ago.

I think she is also teething.

Let us know what the pedi says.
