maybe a dumb question- compression belt?

Hi

How do you wear the compression belt? I gained a lot of weight while pregnant and kind of have a belly that seems to hang over a bit (gross)

What is the belt supposed to do and where do you place it on your body?  thanks

I wore it so that the bottom edge was about 2 inches below my scar.

The belt is supposed to help push out excess fluid/swelling and help the abdominal muscles bind once again. I have one that was pre and postpartum and if I hurt, it feels good, however, after a long day I just want to rip the thing off. My stomach does look better after wearing it, though.
