I have the Fisher-Price Home & Away 3-in-1 high chair.
A big concern of mine was space since we live in a studio apartment and things are tight. This is the smallest high chair they had a babies r us. All the others seemed huge to me.
I like that I can move it around very easily. The wheels work well and you can lock them in place when using the chair.
I think it is a good height. You can also adjust it to make it lower if you need to. I haven't used it as a portable high chair but you can. It will also become a booster seat for a toddler.
I recommend going to the store and checking out different chairs. Especially if size is a big factor for you.
I have a Graco Duo Diner and like it. It does take up a lot of floor space, but I think you can fold it up to tuck it out of the way. The only thing I don't like about it is that the stopper thing (the part that goes between LO's legs so they don't slide down) is on the tray instead of on the seat. I am a little afraid he will wiggle off before I can get the straps hooked, so I always just put him in with the tray attached so I know he can't slide out. (If the hump was on the seat, I could put him in without the tray being in the way. Does that make sense?) Otherwise, I love it. It's been very easy to clean.
We have the inglesina fast table chair and I freaking love it. It goes everywhere with us and we use it at home, in restaurants, and families homes. In a perfect world Id have a second one for the car. It's great.

Is this the type that clamps onto a table? We have something like that but Phil and Ted brand and it says to use when they are sitting? My LO does not sit on his own but I'm wondering if we can try but stuff blankets around his body for support. I don't want a highchair that takes up space on the floor.

Yup and that's exactly what we did for a while. Lol!

We have a Chicco standalone. It's nice because it's highly adjustable, and it can fold up and be slipped away somewhere, but when it's set up, man, that thing takes up space.
We have the graco forecaster high chair. I love love love it. It does fold up flat and shrinks down small so it can be slid anywhere out of the way. I just leave mine out though because DS loves the thing so much that I put him in it to play and he is perfectly content while I can do chores.
