POAS

Ladies I have a quick question about POAS.  I triggered this morning for my IUI and will have the insemination tomorrow.  How many days till I can pee on a stick.  I wasn't planning on POAS with my IVF b/c I was terrified of it, but with the unlikely success of an IUI in my condition I will be POAS.  Thanks so much!  And goodluck to all my fellow Snow Bunnies!  Praying for successful cycles for the rest of you.  I am going to be a February Badger if this IUI doesn't work!

All Welcome

Re: POAS

  • I usually wait about 12 days, but thats right around christmas. I would test the day after christmas so that if I got a negative it wouldn't ruin the day.

  • How long the trigger takes to get out of your system is different for everyone. It also depends on what trigger you're using.  When I used Ovidrel, it was out after about 7-8 days.  But, I used Novarel for this IVF cycle, which is the higher dose, and I have no clue how long it will take.  Probably best to wait until at least 11 or 12 dpiui.  Good luck!

  • I start testing out the trigger the day after IUI with dollar store tests or Internet cheapies.  I am a POASoholic and I have NO shame!

    Everyone welcome!
  • I agree that if you're going to test, you should probably try to test out the trigger. Otherwise there's a chance of a false positive.
