A little ray of hope...

So today we had our "official" A/S and it was almost the best we could have hoped for I guess. Baby B's cerebellum and 4th ventricle in her brain look normal! She still has some mild enlargement in another area of her brain so we will definitely need a fetal MRI to get a closer look so we will still be praying very hard. Also, now they are thinking it is not a skeletal abnormality with Baby A after all. Doctor said he has done some catch up, both babies are measuring on the smaller side in terms of their limbs but both are normal. Baby A has two clubbed feet and Baby B actually only has one. Baby A's brain abnormalities remain relatively the same since last scan so his two biggest issues at this point are his severe heart defect and some brain abnormalities. Unfortunately, the genetecist is still worried that the babies have variants of the same genetic syndrome. One more week for the DNA results to come back on Baby A and they were not even able to culture enough cells on B......so frustrating b/c this would mean we could potentially have to have ANOTHER AMNIO on B!! If the DNA results come back clean on A then we probably don't need to do a second amnio on B so of course, that is what we are praying for. Next big thing will be our fetal MRI......we are praying that Baby B's brain looks normal and A's brain is not as bad as they thought. Overall, we feel more positive about baby B, though we still have a long road ahead.

Again, thank you all so very much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. We need all the help we can get and I truly appreciate all your support. I will certainly keep you all posted as results come in.
