Does anyone know how to use the Kindle App?

Does anyone know how to use the Kindle App on Windows 8? When I click on it, it just opens whatever book I am reading. I can not see my other books I downloaded, adjust fonts or anything else. I tried to look up how to use it on Amazon but it seems to only be giving info for operating the readers. It says something about the Cloud but I have no idea what this has to do with my App on my start screen. Does anyone have any experience with this?
