Okay, so lately my LO will not sleep unless she is being cuddled.  I used to keep her in the pack and play next to my bed so I could easily comfort her and nurse her at night and know that she is okay.  Now she won't go back to sleep after nursing.  The only way we've got any sleep in the last few nights is from bringing her to bed with me.

How do I make co-sleeping safe?  I'm worried about the risks.  We have blankets, pillows and my DH wants the dogs to sleep in our bed.  I don't think it's good to have the dogs in our bed if DD is in there too.

I would prefer to share a room and not a bed while she is this young.  Any tips to help her sleep on her own but still feel safe and secure.

One thing that I did that seemed to help was I slept with her pack n play sheet before putting it back on the mattress. Just so it smelled like me. I also put a hot water bottle in her PNP while we nursed so it would feel warm and cozy by the time I set her down. The Dr Sears website has good info on co sleeping as well!
