It just really interests me how this could be against the law.  What if people gave you a "gift" that you happened to use for adoption, is that allowed?  It seems like there could be a lot of opportunity for grey area.

That is so weird.

I guess I don't understand the difference between selling vanilla extract with the intent to use profits for adoption and getting a part-time job (maybe selling vanilla extract) and then deciding to use your extra wages for adoption.

I'm really not sure I would be able to let that one go.  Especially considering how expensive adoption can be!
