Heavy bleeding 5weeks PP

I had a c-section 5 1/2 weeks ago. My bledding pretty much tappered off and only had a small bit of spotting here and there. Woke up yesterday morning like it was a heavy day on my period but no clots. Today I woke up with bigger clots. But the bleeding is pretty heavy. It reminds me, like I said, of a heavy period. I called the OB today and they said to monitor it and maybe its my period maybe not.

Any experience with this?

Yep. I freaked out and called my OB too. It was fine. Just took a a couple days to stop. It was really heavy too. Like yep soaked 2 pads in an hour kind of bleeding. Just slow down and lay down more. You may be doing too much. Your body needs time to heal and it is still early even though you may feel better. Go snuggle your baby and forget the laundry!

i thought i was dying until i read this lol i too am 5 almost 6 weeks after c/s and was no longer bleeding until yesterday started with the heavy bleeding just pad after pad i have never had heavy periods before baby. i called but they said it sounded like just a period so im just at home freaking out wondering if ill see other symptoms of something worse

Mine tapered off and returned, heavy, a couple times, including large clots. I, too, spoke to my mw, and it wasn't anything to worry about and went away again soon.
