head nodding?

For the last two weeks my now 7.5 month old has been doing an exaggerated head nod while sitting, where she throws her head forward and picks it right back up. It started at the same time as an ear infection. She is no longer sick, but does it on occasion still. Ped said it was likely associated with ear infection when I last asked. Any other LOs doing this? It is usually done while excited, and appears voluntary.

Both my girls did this! It was always in conjunction with shaking their heads "no". My youngest is still doing it and will be 8 months next week. Don't worry, it is just a phase they have discovered, it will pass. It is pretty cute, get it on video!
