Bandaids for toddlers?

Just curious what you guys have done when your child has a cut on his/her finger that needs to be covered?  My daughter sucks the thumb that is injured, so I feel that bandaids are a choking risk, especially during the night.  Socks on her hand would easily be pulled off.  We're considering non-toxic liquid band-aids.
