Beta #'s and Progesterone for twins

Hi ladies, 

We just recently found out we are expecting and I had a little scare with spotting and pain that sent me to the ER at 12dpo. From there I had an ultrasound and beta's drawn and have 2 additional betas. The ultrasound from the ER did not show anything as it was very early but did show two simple cysts(or corpus luteum cysts) one on each ovary. So I am thinking I possibly ovulated 2 eggs. My betas are on the high range too. 12dpo 96, 14dpo 230's and 16dpo over 900. My progesterone was 127 at 16dpo. My doctor says it's possible and will be following up with an ultrasound this friday. I am anxious to find out! I'd REALLY love to hear from you mom's of twins what your experiences/numbers were and if this sounds like I'm heading in the direction of multiples. TIA!

My Betas  were 689.9 at 14DPO and 1319.3 at 16DPO.  I don't know what my P4 was because it wasn't drawn (I'm on supplements so it'd be tricky anyway.)  I'm having triplets though.

You're just gonna have to wait until your first u/s!  My betas were higher with my singleton in the beginning than the twins. GL!

I only had one beta drawn at 8dp3dt it was 105 ,so I don't really have numbers to compare. However, high numbers are not always an indication of multiples. It is how fast they double that matters.

How'd you get your RE to do a beta so early?  They won't do mine until 10dp5dt and I've already had a +HPT so I'm DYING for my beta

My three betas are in my siggy.  They were all average (according to betabase) for a singleton pregnancy.  I didn't have my p4 checked until time for weaning off of my progesterone but it wasn't spectacularly high either.

My beta was 485 9dp5dt. Doubled from there.

my betas were high but my progesterone was 9...  good luck at the ultra sound!

There really isn't any way of knowing prior to the u/s.  My beta at 14 dpiui was 114.  The progesterone would be more indicative of multiples but, I honestly don't know the base line number there....GL-

I took a pregnancy test at home and it was positive so I called them wondering if it was possible that it was acurate and they told me to come on in and they would do a blood draw to see.

My betas were 1663 at 15dp3dt (18dpo) and 3500 at 17dp3dt (20dpo).

I know I am late.  Are you on any progesterone supplements?

For every egg ovulated, P usually goes up by about 50.  At 120, likely you ovulated 2-3 eggs.

I'm not taking progesterone, which is why I'm thinking it's possible as my # is so high. I think I did ovulate two eggs, especially since the u/s showed two simple cysts.

I guess only time will tell.... anxiously awaiting Friday's ultrasound.

My beta at the equivalent of 14dpo was 452 and at 16dpo was 1,026. I was on progesterone supps because I did IVF but my progesterone was greater than 40 (that's how my RE measures it... no actual # if it's over 40).
