Official TTTS dx

There is a definite TTTS diagnosis now. One baby is over 9cm of fluid, measuring 11oz, and showing a bit of an enlarged heart. Dopplers are fine on both for the umbilicals. The other baby is at 1.9cm of fluid, and measuring at 9 oz. The are refering me to the surgeon to look into getting the shared vessel cut between them and I am now scheduled for weekly visits with the MFM. Anyone go thru the surgery before? Can you tell me what to expect?

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

    PAIFW/SAIFW

    DS1 born July 2002 (previous marriage).

    TTC since Oct 08. DH Dx w/testicular cancer March 09.
    MFI due to retrograde ejaculation/azoospermia.
    5/2 IVF #1 cancelled due to large follie.
    6/14 start Lupron for IVF #1.2. 6/22 start stims.
    7/4 ER and Biopsy.
    7/9 Transferred 2 (1-4BB and 1-3BB) embryos.  4 frosties.
    7/15 +HPT 6dp5dt. 7/18 Beta #1: 193. 7/20 Beta #2: 415.
    8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!

    I have no experience with ttts but just wanted to say that I'm sorry you are going through this and that you and your LO's will be in my thoughts and prayers!

    I'm very sorry to hear this and can just imagine how stressed you have to be. You and your LOs are in my prayers for peace and successful treatment!

    I'm sorry sweetie.  TTTS is very scary and we went through that but did have laser surgery.  The TTTS foundation has a FB group that you can join for support and questions: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/tttsfoundation/

    I had the laser surgery last year with my twins, no issues after at all. They were over 5 adn 6 pounds when they were born. I had to fly for 5 hours to get to LA to have surgery and I had to get a cerclage after bed rest. They are not sure that my cervix would have shrunk anyways or if it was becasue of the flight. I was awake and alert during the surgery which was surreal. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions jennikairv@hotmail.com

    Dx: MFI- 3% morph
    IUIs: Gonal-F + Ovidrel + b2b IUI= BFNs
    IVF with ICSI= BFP! EDD 11/25/11
    3/18- Beta #1 452! 3/20- Beta #2 1,026!! 3/27- First u/s- TWINS!
    Our twin boys arrived at 36w5d due to IUGR and a growth discordance

    FET: Medicated FET moved up to 5/23 due to ovulation
    Transferred a 6BB hatched blastocyst- genetically normal female embryo
    BFP! 5/28- 5dp6dt      
    6/1 Beta #1- 223! 6/3 Beta #2- 567!
