Recommend a good OB/gyn?

We found out that we're expecting!  I think I'm about 6 weeks along.  The first thing we have to do is find a good OB/gyn. 

Can anyone recommend a OB/gyn for me?  We live in West Chester and prefer someone north of the Kenwood area.  Our values are pretty simple: we prefer vaginal birth vs. c-section if possible, we plan to breastfeed, and we are leaning towards attachment parenting because it goes naturally with our Asian culture.  We really just need a doctor who is patient and will listen, not someone who dictates what he or she thinks is best for us.

After trying a few different ones for this pregnancy (my old OB doesn't deliver anymore), I've been referred to the Bowen Center. I have my first appointment with them next Tuesday, so I can't tell you what I think, yet, but they sound like someone you might want to look into. They come very highly recommended on the FB board.

My sister-in-law recommended For Women to us after having a bad experience at the first OB.  This is our first pregnancy, but we love them.

I recommend For Women also! I go there and my pregnancy is high risk. I have met with a different ob(all women group) every visit due to my high risk category and all of them so far been great. I've been going there for years for gynecology only and really loved my doc but she only does gyn out the group. I know they deliver at Good Sam but not sure about Bethesda North.

I also go to For Women and I do love my Dr. there and most of the other Dr.'s, but I agree with Jersey, The Bowen Center probably aligns more with what you are describing. Dr. Bowen delivers at BNorth, For Women only delivers at Good Sam.

I've also heard good things about For Women, but I delivered at B North last time and I'd like to stay there for this one.

jerseygirl, what did you think after the appt?

LOVED THEM! Best decision, ever. I had an epi last time but hope to go natural this time, and he spent a lot of time talking about the different options and classes that they offer. Their c-section rate is in the single digits (if you don't factor in the VBAC crowd, who have a higher rate) and they seem very willing to accommodate any reasonable requests. It seems like a very mom-and-baby-centered practice, rather than the baby factories that other practices seem to be.

I have never heard anything bad about Dr. Bowen. He is a bit far from my house. I recommend Associates in OBGYN. The doctors deliver at Bethesda North and they are all great. The office staff is always really nice. Dr. Yang delivered our first and I see her every visit for this pregnancy. Bedside manner is great and they are prompt if you have an issue after hours.

I like Cinci OBGYN ( https://cincyobgyn.com/ ).  There are 12 doctors 9 are women.  They have an office off of Cinci-Dayton and one at Mercy Fairfield.  I have HG and I spend a lot of time with them.  The doctors and nurses have been wonderful.  I especially love the staff at the Liberty Falls office off Cinci-Dayton.

the bowen center is beyond wonderful. I love everyone on staff. I seriously cannot express how happy I am with the practice. They are there for every concern and are very supportive of my decision to go natural.

This is who i just switched from. I was wholly unimpressed, it felt like a baht factory to me. I prefer a smaller practice, i guess.

I had a good experience with Group Health Associates. Their north offices are in Springdale, Kenwood and Mason and they deliver at Bethesda North. Dr. Lewis and Dr. Samol are both wonderful.

I was recommended to go here when I moved to West Chester and know several women who go to the doctors in this group.  I don't have anything negative to say about my experience going to this group of doctors.
