What do you wear at a birthing center for delivery?

I will be delivering in January most likely.  Although I live in Texas, this is still the coldest month we see typically.  I'd like to be able to walk around outside the center (particularly because it isn't very big), but also want to make sure I'm wearing something that's appropriate for delivery.  Any suggestions?  Something warm, but also not confining.

Wear whatever makes you the most comfortable.  Many opt for some sort of dress or skirt while others prefer something like yoga pants.  I labored mostly at home so I had on only a t-shirt because I was gushing fluid with every contraction mostly but also because I couldn't stand to have anything around my waist. 

If I were to want to walk around outside in your situation I'd probably opt for a long dress.  Something like a maxi dress that I could put a jacket or coat on over but could easily strip off when necessary.....hello hot flashes in transition!

I delivered in winter and went through a whole wardrobe of outfits. I had a knee length comfy nightshirt that I bought specifically for the birth center. I had also had a robe, a short tank top cotton nightgown, and a 2piece swim suit (this was key because I labored in the tub and wanted to be covered up top, but couldn't wear the bottoms because I would have had to take them off every time I was getting checked). I went home the same day and wore yoga pants and a hoodie.

If your going to go outside I would recommend a robe. That way you can throw it on over whatever you're wearing and be covered up.

I delivered in January in Texas at a birth center almost two years ago and I wore comfy yoga type pants, a soft t-shirt stretchy material night gown (1/2 sleeve), and warm fuzzy socks. Whatever you're comfortable in is appropriate.
