These two got added to our boy list last night. At first I had reservations about Cormac, since we have a McLastname, but then I figured Cormac McCarthy makes it work, so why not?
Anyway, what does the BNB think of Cormac and Lorcan?
My first thought on seeing Cormac was McCormick Seasoning. I'm not sure why, but that's what popped into my head. I prefer Cormac to Lorcan.

I like Cormac better than Lorcan, but neither is really my style. Lorcan sounds like something from Lord of the Rings. (Although GP names for me are Arwen and Lorien, so maybe that's not a bad thing.)
I have a friend who named her son Cormac, but he goes by the nn Mac. That might not work with your last name.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
Cormac is one of our top two boy names right now(along with Abram). I really like it but I've gotten the McCormick spices thing a lot when I mention it. I think it might have to do with the fact that I'm from the Baltimore area.
Lorcan sounds like some kind of bad guy from a fantasy novel to me. NMS at all.
I like Cormac a lot.I also love Mac as a NN, although I can see not wanting to use that with a McLN. On the other hand I might like it even more as the NN since it is in the FN and LN.
Lorcan not so much. It seems more like a SciFi species, like a cross between a Vulcan and a Lorax.
Cormac is a guilty pleasure name for me. I pitched it to DH and it got vetoed right off the bat. So I like Cormac, even though with your last name it screams Harry Potter fan to me. Lorcan I really don't like AT ALL. I thought it was made up truthfully. Maybe as a mn I could get on board with it.

never heard Lorcan before, but have a friend with a son named Cormac which I like. I think it was a maiden name somewhere in the family and that's why she chose it though.

I really like Cormac. I recently added it to my long list, but DH doesn't really care for it.
Not sure how I feel about Lorcan. I don't think I've ever seen it, so I need to let it sit for a minute.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.

Third Son - due June 9, 2018
I would pick Cormac over Lorcan. Both are fine.

I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
This, also sorry but they are horrible.
I love Cormac! I really was pushing this early on as our boy's choice w/the NN Mac, but DH thought it was a little too different.
Lorcan is NMS.
