What is a 'great' professional? And for that matter, what is a celebrity professional? Someone who is a professional and became famous for their work? And trust for what?

Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer is the second most respected, admired and trusted individual in the world, after former South African president Nelson Mandela, a new global study of more than 50,000 people in 25 countries shows.
It was on the internet so it must be true.
promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
I'm *assuming* the OP means would you trust Dr. Oz, for example, more because he's a celebrity doctor, or would you trust him less?
I trust celebrity professionals less because they always have another angle they are working, aka: staying famous, and that dictates how they treat/advise you.
I would trust Dr. Oz though. He's still a practicing surgeon at a reputable hospital, so yes, I would trust his medical advice.
I question his reliability and unbiasedness (read as I don't trust that he doesn't advise based on who buys his loyalty and advice.)
I watched an embarassing amount of Dr. Oz on maternity leave. I've also read one of his books. I have found a majority of his message to be consistent with much of the research I've done and popular wisdom on eating healthy, etc. Now, if he were pushing some specific product or cleanse or something, I might question it. I have found that he's mostly just presenting medical information in a way that people without a medical education can understand.
LOL. See, I hate his show because it is really dumbed down and doesn't actually explain things and he doesn't actually answer the questions.

sorry i didn't show up with details, had some work.. so what i meant was: as an example if you mentioned Dr.Oz, would you trust him more than a professor at Harvard? because he is closer to the public? i didn't meant tom cruise, and all that, but anyway thanks a lot, I was asking for some opinions
Harvard doc over dr oz ANY DAY. Dr Oz drives me so farking crazy. Sure, his info is for the most part true but way to sensationalize every little tidbit.
