OMG my SIL

So, I'll try to make this short without cutting out the main points. A couple months ago DH and I were talking to family about baby names we like. We mentioned 2 girls names that we liked. I really love the name Ella. Well when I mentioned it my SIL chimed in, "eh...I already have a niece named Emma so that would get confusing. You have to think about the Aunt as well when naming the kid." So I kinda just blew it off. She's one of those "princess" people.

We also mentioned the name Sophia. She chimes in again. "I don't really like it. It's the name of my maid." So...the point of this story is...DH and I have agreed on a girls name we really like and we are not telling anybody this time! And also, if you have an opinionated family like mine, don't tell people the names. Oh, and since we're not telling anybody the name, I'll tell you ladies. It's Alessa.

Oh you have no idea. She actually asked us on our wedding day, at the reception, if we could hurry up with our dinner (so we could cut the cake) because she wanted to get on the road with her husband to start their anniversary road trip. I still don't know why they couldn't have left the next morning. Anyway, good thing she lives over a thousand miles away!

 My mom says things like this. I keep telling her we don't have a name yet even tho we do. She keeps suggesting the most ridiculous names ever. 

 

I love the name Alessa but H hated that it made him think of Silent Hill. And i totally do not know why the font is funny on this post but I can not change it.

My sister and well whole family doesn't like my daughters name. My sister still comments about it. My daughter is 19 months old and her name is Elizabeth. 

My point is that if they are going to have opinions it's not really going to matter when you tell them. She sounds like a tool.
