I am sorry I am not introducing myself or telling my story but i just cant right now. we have decided to have our little girl cremated, she was born at 20 wks. If you had your child cremated did you use an urn from the funeral home or something else? My mom mentioned of the willow tree boxes but I haven't been able to actually go look at them, would that even work? The funeral hone said we can bring in our own container but I don't want to wander around stores explaining to sales clerks why we need a tiny little container. Thank you for any advice you might have and if this is a totally inappropriate post I can delete it.
We bought a little jewelry box with heart shape. The shop that we bought it from was for customized jewelry boxes. We had her name and date engraved. The urns at the funeral homes are too big for our babies.
Mine does have tiny little urns specifically for little babies but with everything happening exactly the way I wouldn't want it to happen I feel like I MUST find the perfect urn for her.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your little girl. We have an urn from the funeral home. It's a small blue bronze heart that fits in the palm of my hand so I can easily hold it. We chose to bring Eliott home with us so I wanted something I could hold. I'm so sorry you're even having to make this decision.

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby girl. We had the funeral home put our daughter's ashes in a temporary plastic container because we didn't like any of the ones they had in their catalogs and we didn't want to make a rush decision. We ended up getting a small silver box from Things Remembered that we had engraved with her name and birth date. The box has places for pictures on the sides so we have those to see.
I ordered my urn online. It is a beautiful pewter urn and we put some bling on it that we bought from Michaels. The urn itself was pretty, but it needed some extras on it fitting for my lil Diva.
I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl. ((Hugs)) I didn't order mine for a few months, I was too looking for the perfect one. I finally found one on ebay, it's pink with silver butterflies on it. It was only $15 too. I just looked up keepsake urn. The funeral home I went through had their own bag and container to place her in until I bought an urn. Again, I am so very sorry. Whenever you're ready to share your story we are here for you.
I am so sorry for your loss. We had my son cremated as well, and we found a little blue box at Hobby Lobby that was perfect for us. It also had a matching frame, so we bought the frame and have one of his pictures in it. The box also has a place for a picture on top, so we put his memorial program in it - the program has his footprint on the front.
Again, I'm so very sorry. We're here for you if you ever need us. *hugs*
I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I want to second/third what others have said - if this is overwhelming for you right now, which is completely understandable, the funeral home can provide something temporary but still well packaged until you decide what is best. The decisions are overwhelming, and in our case we had a surviving twin son that we thought we would want to someday involve in the decision. It is fine, normal, understandable, etc. to not make a decision right now regarding urns and to look when you are ready.
Our dd was born at 38 wks 4 days so we ordered the urn from the funeral home. It was about $450 but it it is beautiful.

I am sorry for your lost. Our little girl Claire went to heaven 11/11/2012 at 26wks5days. We had her cremated also. I was also told by the funeral home if I did not see an urn they carried I could bring in my own. I ordered a really lovely urn online. The remains are so small, you can use pretty much any container; wood, metal, glass, or ceramic. So, just to be helpful, you may want to order from a website. I used https://www.perfectmemorials.com/

Not inappropriate in the least. I'm so sorry you're having to do this.
I ordered mine online from perfectmemorials.com. They have some that are small and, sadly, a section of just baby/child urns.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I highly recommend the site "HeavensGain.com". We purchased our daughter's casket there and it was beautiful.
Like you, I didn't want to go into a store and found online to be much easier for us. The company was created by a couple who also experienced loss.

Our urn came from www.inthelighturns.com. They were pretty reasonable and quick
