Hemorrhoids?

Has anyone had a LO with what appears to be hemorrhoids? My 6mo has a red bump right outside his rectum. He had a white one before and the doctor said it could just be an irritant or ingrown hair or something. This one is red. It's probably the size of a pea. It doesn't bother him at all, and he doesn't have a fever or anything else. He acts perfectly fine! Just wondering what this could be and if anyone else experienced it?
