Shampoo recommendations please!

I have used a few organic ones that I like but looking for suggestions.  I'm also looking for something not too pricey.

Re: Shampoo recommendations please!

  • I've used several types.  My recent favorite is mineral fusions for curly hair.  I also like the tea tree tingle from Trader Joe's.  Burt's Bees has a line of products under the name gud, their stuff is pretty good too, but it seems to have a lot of fragrance.  Hope this helps!
  • Thanks!  I haven't tried any of the gud products yet.

  • I have only tried the tea tree and peppermint from TJ's and I not impressed but I'm not complaining. Since DH refuses to go no poo--I was making my own before with coconut oil and castille soap and he still wouldn't use it--I agreed to the TJ's shampoo. It's only a 3 or 4 on the EWG's database so it's at least way better than regular shampoos.
  • I LOVE dr. Bronners tea tree oil. I use that stuff for everything, including washing my own hair and the husband's (waist length, not dreaded). I wouldn't suggest it on babies though since it stings if it gets in the eyes. Dr. B's does have a baby mild line but I haven't tried an eye test on it yet.

  • I use either Giovanni shampoo or a shampoo bar (locally made).

dr B baby is NOT  a no tears formula. Do not get in eyes.

  • I really like the Burt's Bees pomegranate shampoo & conditioner.  I did not like the Gud ones I tried due to very heavy fragrance.

  • Dr. Bronners is for many uses. I also like burt's bees pomegranate shampoo, which makes my hair look very thick and healthy.
